The 82nd Combat Engineer Battalion was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood MO. They got there orders
in October 1961 to ship out to Germany for the huge build up of the Berlin Crisis. On October 3rd 1961 120 members
of the 82nd got there orders to fly to France and convoy the equipment to Germany. Rest of the Battalion follow
by way of the U.S.S. Patch.
